Donal is the Vice-President and General Manager of Tyco Ireland. He began his career as an engineer and has extensive experience working with multi-national brands, including Apple, Flextronics and now Tyco.

He has been with Tyco for 13 years and currently leads the company’s Global Business Services Centre at its global headquarters in Cork.

Tyco is the world’s largest pure-play fire protection and security company. With a $10 billion in annual revenue Tyco provides more than three million customers around the globe with the latest fire protection and security products and services. Tyco has over 57,000 employees in more than 900 locations across 50 countries serving various end markets, including commercial, institutional, governmental, retail, industrial, energy, residential and small business.

In January 2014, Tyco announced the expansion of its Cork operation, with plans to grow the workforce to more than 500 employees. The company recently relocated its headquarters to One Albert Quay, Ireland’s smartest building, where it plans to provide efficient delivery of several activities for its businesses, these will include: Sourcing and Procurement, Research and Development, Information Technology, Compliance, HR and Finance.

Speaking about One Albert Quay, Donal said “We are thrilled with the building; it’s a wonderful place to work and it acts as a talent magnet for Tyco and the region generally. We have deployed the best Tyco technology from around the world to make this a truly smart building. We get the opportunity to use the building as a test-bed for future development and it acts as a demonstrator location of Tyco’s offerings to our global client base.”

After the presentations, there will be a networking opportunity with light refreshments served.
